What we collect
When you submit a wholesale inquiry or schedule a retail pickup we collect the contact details you provide — typically your name, company, email, phone number, and the message or items you've told us about. We also receive standard server-side request data (IP address, user agent, referrer) so we can keep the site secure and operational.
We use first-party analytics from Vercel (Web Analytics + Speed Insights) and a Google Tag Manager container that loads Google Analytics 4 and conversion tags. These services drop cookies in your browser and may collect anonymized usage information such as page paths, device class, and approximate geography.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and quote wholesale availability.
- To confirm and remind you of scheduled retail pickups.
- To run the website and protect it against abuse.
- To measure traffic and improve the catalog experience.
- To comply with our legal obligations as an Oklahoma business.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers we use to operate the site (Vercel for hosting, Neon for our database, Resend for email delivery, Google for analytics and ads), and only to the extent needed to deliver the service you requested.
Cookies & tracking
Some pages load tracking scripts through Google Tag Manager. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking the cookies in your browser. Disabling these does not affect the catalog or pickup flow.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or request deletion of records that are no longer needed for an active inquiry, order, or pickup. Email us at info@midwestdistribution.ioand we'll respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep inquiry and pickup records for the duration of the customer relationship plus a reasonable period for accounting, audit, and dispute-resolution purposes — typically up to seven years for transactional records. Anonymized analytics data may be retained longer.
